Photo booths

14 Nov

The past few years I’ve noticed a new trend at weddings: photo booths. I think it’s an awesome idea. There is just something so old school about taking pictures in a booth together. It adds a different element to the reception, and your guests have a fun souvenir to take home with them.

My cousins and I certainly had a blast at a recent family wedding.

What do you think? Would you have a photo booth at your wedding?

Another trip to Germany has come and gone. Yesterday I arrived back in the States with so many wonderful memories. I don’t know how it’s possible, but each time gets better and better. And luckily, I won’t have to wait too long for the next visit since Sebastian will be here in November.

I have many stories to share, but until I get caught up on sleep, I’ll just share a few pictures for now. These are the Instagram photos I captured during the trip. I call them Berlinstagrams. Enjoy!

P.S. Happy October! It’s amazing how fast this year is flying by.

Days 22 – 31

15 Sep

So I’m way late in posting this, but I did manage to finish out my “Photo A Day” challenge last month. I have to admit, I didn’t keep up with it every day, but I had fun finding different things to photograph. Below are days 22 – 31. Click here for days 1 – 15 and here for days 16 – 21.

If you want to participate, visit Fat Mum Slim’s Photo A Day page. A new list is posted each month.

P.S. Six days until Germany!!!

Days 16 – 21

22 Aug

I’m still trying to keep up with the “Photo A Day” list this month. Check out this post if you want to see pictures 1 – 15. Here are pictures 16 – 21:

This is what I eat for lunch almost every day during the summer.

My goofy Dad at an Eagles tribute concert. Ironically, Sebastian also makes faces like this when I try to take his picture.

Inside a box from my Great-Grandma Grace containing some of her jewelry.

An old piggy bank. I believe my parents brought this back to the states from Germany.

On this day we received our new family pictures. I took a picture of the sibling photo, which I absolutely love.

It was actually chilly outside yesterday. I thought a picture of the scarf I was wearing was appropriate.

Photo a day – August

17 Aug

As I was perusing blogs recently, I followed a link over to Fat  Mum Slim who hosts one of those “Photo A Day” challenges. I’ve been trying to play along this month. Although I’ve been late a few days, here are the photos I’ve taken so far:

One cute puppy relaxing.

{somewhere you sat}

A letter from Sebastian. I love his handwriting.

{8 o’clock}

I cheated on this one since I forgot to take a picture. This is at 8 a.m. looking out my window back in the spring.

My friend Marissa took this photo of me. These actually aren’t my glasses.

My parents bought me this awesome purple chair at an auction years ago. I’m still in love with it.

Oh, to be a kid again.

I really wanted to find an arrow to photograph. I couldn’t find one I liked, so I drew one.

If you want to see the full list for August, visit Fat Mum Slim’s Photo A Day page. She posts a new list each month so join in and have fun!
